Well I think it's about time I say goodbye. I will leave this site active because I'm sure in the next few years I will embark on another adventure with my brother or close enough friend I could call my brother. I'm not going to get all heart felt so to all my more sensitive readers I apologies but I want to leave on a fun note so here we go. Point form, my favorite.
Pros and Cons to traveling with Nathan Huisman, my brother. (you can guess which is which)
- Being 6'6" always leaves me in whatever seat has less leg room.
- Snoring every night has helped my patients grow... a lot!
- Being able to spend every hour of every day with a brother.
- Learning more about photography then I could have imagined.
- Watching him grow and mature into an amazing person. (Awe)
- Having awesome pictures from amazing places.
- Never getting cold in a tiny tent in Scandinavia.
- Not having to act like the older brother because apparently he looks older then me!
- Witnessing his embarrassing attempts to impress Oktoberfest girls.
- Peace of mind knowing he has enough money in his bank account for an emergency plane ticket home!
Haha that's enough, now here are some fun facts of the trip, or tidbits as we Canadians like to call them, again in point form.
- 217 days abroad
- 10 different flights
- 26 different beds slept in
- 9 different currencies used
- not one English speaking country, out of 10 traveled.
- 47 blog post's
- Over 4000 pictures taking in Africa, of which 120 survived a crashed computer
- 1 Cinema outing - in Danish!
- 8 new stamps in my passport
- 56 new Facebook friends.
- 1 experience that left me in tears. (Manly tears of course, the kind that do push ups and eat steak)
- countless emails of support from family and friends
Well the time has come for me to say goodbye. I appreciated all the dedicated readers that spent time to see how Nathan and I were doing. I love you all and may God bless you on whatever adventures you are on... Goodbye.
