Raglan

One surfer catching a wave the morning we left.
So Monday and Tuesday were spent in Raglan, New Zealand. But Monday morning was spent getting the van repaired in Huntly, just outside Auckland. Luckily it was just a matter of replacing two belts and took only a few short hours that we spent using the wifi at the public library. Heres a quick traveller tip, free wifi is available at most public libraries often with no data restrictions or time limits, sweet.

After the short repair job we made it to Raglan with no further problems. Being in Raglan reminded me of ski resort small town BC, friendly locals (that common in all of NZ though), all about the surf and just enough stores and shops to get you by. We spent most of Monday at the beach watching surfers and catching rays; Tuesday was similar, except with some bridge jumping, where Trev hit the bottom and put a nice souvenir in his noggin'.

All in all it was just a super chill two days, spent time not doing a whole lot of anything, and night we'd just cook some bacon-dogs on the ol' stove and shoot the shit. My kind of vacation….
