It was not until China I began to feel I am a long way from home. Arriving in Beijing, the host of the 2008 Summer Olympics was surreal. I had heard much about the city but had no concrete expectations. We were greeted by a young and upbeat American at the airport who did a wonderful job at planning our four day stay in the nation’s capital. Our contacts in China worked in Universities teaching English for the kingdom. They displayed incredible competence in their vocations and concern for the spiritual needs of their students. What a wonderful time!
