Welcome back to all our faithful followers, and a "what up" to any first timers. We are pumped you found your way to our humble site and hope through journaling and photographs you can experience a little of our trip abroad with us. The lineup for this excursion is as followed. At 6'6" and weighting a 220 pounds, with the red hair is the blog founder Nathan Huisman. Standing 6'2" with a recent ACL injury is the weathered traveller, Kevin Huisman. And a surprising appearance from the old timer himself, anticipating his first stamp in his first passport, Smithers very own Theo Huisman.
Excited? We are. At this exact moment I am sitting in the Vancouver airport anticipating the nine hour flight to Amsterdam. After 24 hours in the European Vegas we will continue on until we reach Cairo Egypt on Thursday.
In case you are concerned about the purpose of this trip and rather or not it fits the criteria to be published on this "travel" blog let me walk you through it. When going to a new destination for reasons other then work, three different terms–based on the reason–can be used . A Vacation is when you are trying to escape the normal everyday life. A Holiday is when visiting family or friends and Travelling is going to experience and entreat with the culture.
Haha I realize this is not an absolute reason but it sounded good to Nathan and I as we discussed what kind of trip this was.
So I hope you are excited for what the next month as we will be travelling from Egypt to Jordan to Israel then back to Holland. Feel free to comment and harass Nathan for more photos, as I am just the writer here.
