School: Week 1

So you know that we arrived at school last Monday, and you know roughly where we are in the world. So what else is there to say? I guess I'll have to dig deep. Classes officially started on Wednesday, our first unit or program was Illustrator. I don't really wanna bore you with the details, but it was only a short 3 day course with a guest speaker from the U.K. He was a good instructor and although a lot of the course was repetition for me I still learned a thing or 2. The weekend brought some boredom, although the past week was busy there wasn't much to do on the weekend. The town is small and people usually go to the nearest village during Sat, but I stayed at base because I had to do my work duties. Oh ya, we all are required to have work duties while we are here, I got stuck with lawn care and Kevin's got some slack cleaning job or something, I dunno haha. But on the weekends you have free except every once in a while when you have to do it again. But it is nice to get outside and enjoy this sunshine streak that we've been having. It has been really clear and sunny for the past well... since we got here. Its like June weather back home, here in October! You really start to get into a daily routine with classes and work duties and meals. So the days sort of have been flying by. One thing that I will comment on though is the amount of chocolate we've been eating since arriving in Switzerland. And most of it has been in the form of Nutella, or the equivalent over here. Like minimum of 2 times a day, and then they have this cereal with chocolate chunks in it and to top it off, hot chocolate mix right by the microwave so anytime I'm feeling like a lil Canadian coco I grab a cup. I haven't felt any side effects yet so I have no intentions to stop anytime soon. But anyways; that about sums up week one. I'm getting to know a lot of the guys here better, the are pretty nice out going guys which is never a bad thing.
