Munich & Oktoberfest

Its been a few days so I shall try my best to fill you in on the past week of activities. We left Kiel on Tuesday morning and were bound for Munich (Munchen). We were able to get train tickets the night before for a steal of a deal, only 21 euros per person but... it was a 15.5 hr train ride with 7 change overs along the way. Not a fun way to spend a day, but we saved a tonne of coin. We made it to Munich later that day, actually the next day at 1230 pm. There Claudia & Henier Harrer were waiting for us at the train station in Bad Tolz. It was very nice to see them again and we were very happy when we found out that we could sleep in some real beds for the next few days. We had a solid nights rest and when we woke up we headed to Munich to a exhibit that was being held in town. It was based on media and photography called something along the lines of "Images that Lie." It soul purpose was to warn or inform viewers of the way that media can manipulate and change the way that we see a photo. Making something that looks innocent and caring into something that appears to be evil and threatening. It was interesting for both Kevin and I to say and we enjoyed it. Annika took us touring around the city, which was busy due to an election speech giving by a candidate for the upcoming elections. We headed home for some super and relaxation. On Thursday we met up with Johanna and Lisa, her friend. they took us, along with Annika and Andy to Munich for Oktoberfest. Me and Kev were a lil bummed when we found out that we couldn't get ahold of the traditional clothing, but were stoked anyways. We headed to the big tent first, in hopes of being able to get in due to the fact that it was before the rush. Luckily we were and had a fun time inside seeing all the action and events inside, so many people were in such a big tent, it was really exciting and fun to say the least. So a ton of sites and did a lot of very cool and traditional things, it was a good time for sure. And now I can say that I have been there and done that.
